The problem

Tracking time is easy. Billing for it isn't.

Most trackers stop at a stopwatch and a CSV export. The part that actually gets you paid โ€” turning those hours into a correct, itemised invoice for each client โ€” is still a spreadsheet and a Sunday evening.

Track it in the moment

Start a timer from your phone or watch in two taps. It keeps running offline and syncs the moment you reconnect, so a subway ride never costs you an hour of billable work.

Fix it on a real screen

Forgot to stop the timer? Drag the block to the right length on a desktop calendar built for editing, not just viewing. Every change syncs straight back to your phone.

Bill it automatically

On the first of the month, Clockd groups unbilled hours by client, applies your rates and rounding rules, and sends each one an invoice from your own template.

How it works

Three steps, then it runs itself

  1. Add your clients and projects

Set an hourly rate per client, override it per project where you need to, and pick a currency. Rates are snapshotted onto each entry, so raising your rate never rewrites work you already did.

  2. Track as you work

Hit start on your phone. Reconcile the week on the desktop calendar whenever it suits you โ€” drag to move, drag an edge to resize, type to correct.

  3. Let the month close itself

At 6am on the 1st, in your timezone, every client with unbilled time gets an invoice. Prefer to check first? Switch it to drafts and approve with one click.

Built in

Everything the billing month needs

Invoice templates

Your logo, your colours, your columns and payment terms. Preview against real data as you edit, so what you see is exactly what the client receives.

Rounding rules that are honest

Bill in exact minutes, or round to 6- or 15-minute increments. Rounding applies to each project's daily total, never to every entry โ€” the difference can be threefold.

Multi-currency

Set the currency per client. Bill London in GBP and New York in USD from one account, with tax rows configured per template.

Client-facing invoice links

Clients open a clean hosted invoice โ€” no attachment caught in a spam filter, no login required โ€” and print it to PDF if their finance team needs one.

Offline-first sync

Entries created without signal keep their identity when they arrive, so reconnecting never leaves you with duplicates to clean up.

Your data, exportable

CSV or JSON, any time, including after you cancel. Your tracked hours are your business records, not our leverage.
