Terms of service
Last updated 1 September 2026
These terms cover your use of Clockd. By creating an account you agree to them.
The service
Clockd records time you track, and generates and delivers invoices based on that data and the settings you configure. We provide the tooling; the accuracy of what you track, the rates you set and the invoices you issue remain your responsibility.
Invoices and money
Clockd is not a payment processor and does not handle money moving between you and your clients. We generate invoice documents and email links to them. Payment happens directly between you and your client by whatever means you arrange.
You are responsible for the tax treatment of your invoices, including whether tax should be charged and at what rate. The tax rows in a template are values you supply; we apply them arithmetically and make no representation that they are correct for your jurisdiction.
Automated sending
If you enable month-end automation, Clockd will generate and send invoices without further confirmation from you. You are responsible for keeping rates, clients and templates accurate. If you would rather review before anything is sent, configure the automation to prepare drafts instead.
Your account
Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe it has been accessed by someone else.
Acceptable use
Do not use Clockd to send fraudulent invoices, to harass anyone, or to break the law. Do not attempt to access other users' data or to disrupt the service for others.
Payment and cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. You can cancel at any time and will retain access until the end of the paid period. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial months. Your export remains available after cancellation.
Availability
We work to keep Clockd available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Given that month-end automation runs on a specific day, we recommend confirming that invoices went out as expected — the invoice list shows the status of each.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of Clockd is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or for indirect or consequential loss.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to account holders before taking effect.
